My doc and NUT both Saudi carbonation was fine (diet coke!) and that it would not stretch my new tummy. I asked specifically.

Carbonation hurts, so I don't bother.

Having said that, it seems like all regain folks we see in support have gone back to some form of soda... it always made me even more hungry too... *shrug*

If you can make it work and it doesn't hurt... I think you're fine :)

I love carbonation also but it does not like me and so I stay away from it!  My sister-in-law drinks a carbonated flavored water with no calories, I think it is called something like ICE.  She loves it.

ICE is so good, especially the peach one!  Haven't had it since surgery though, and would love to drink it again.  Your sister was sleeved and has no problem with it?  How far out is she?

No my sister-in-law was not sleeved but she is always trying to get me to drink it.  I am fine with just plain water.

It took me a long time to be able to drink something with carbonation without it hurting my tummy. I still can't drink something really carbonated. Yes, I burp just like before, but with the small volume in there, the pressure builds up a lot faster for me.

So just be careful.
