Protein anyone????
Thanks Jackie!
I do agree in being accountable and definitely want to keep up with my protein. I just didnt know if all the "math of the small amts" needed to be done at this stage in the game. I have already been logging all my foods and water since day one because I have found it hard to remember at the end of the day how many shakes I was on, or how much water i did....hopefully once I lose all this weight, maybe one day my short-term memory will improve.
I weigh or measure pretty much everything that goes into my mouth. After awhile it becomes habit.

I may sound/look fanatical as I weigh my Hi Lo cereal in the mornings and fish/chicken/cheese/yogurt at other meals but portion slippage has long been my downfall, so I make sure my portions stay right by weighing them as much as possible.
Why yes, I do have a pocket scale that I take along when traveling - doesn't everyone?

I did when I was early out like you. I mean I didn't have a cow if I had to guess a bit. It can be hard to tell if a tablespoon of tuna fish is 0.5 oz. or 0.4 and it's not like it really matters to that level. LOL But I did my best.
I think you have to at least attempt to count it. Because, yeah, each bite might not be more than 25 calories but all those bites add up.

Thanks so much for responding to my post!!! I have been journaling everything. Now I just have to add the proteins in. I agree that sometimes its hard to know what the exact measurement is. I had another huge thought....when I was in Education class, they used Dixie cups to show us how much yogurt we would be eating and I thought...why am i not continuing to use those? So besides the kitchen scale, I am putting my soups in a dixie cup. They are cheap and measure exactly 3 oz's. Love them!!!
