I know that i shouldn't weigh every day and that an increase in the scale can be attributed to things such as water.  I just can't help but get on the darn thing every day.  Some days I like the number and am on a high all day.  Other days, like today where the scale went up 3 pounds from the previous day, I let it ruin my mood for the entire day.  I cannot stand that the scale dictates what kind of mood I am going to be in.  Can any of you relate?  I am definitely going to have to work on it.

I weigh in every day. I like to do that so I can see where I need to fine tune myself. There are days where I weigh 2 or 3 lbs more than the day before. On those days, I make sure to push my fluids, and take time to see what my body is telling me. Did I have too much salt the day before? Is i****er weight? Am I constipated? Did I eat things I shouldn't have? Etc. I also take that time of the month into consideration. I'm a week away from my "due date", so I know I have bloating, water weight, and lots of gas. Believe it or not, that makes a HUGE difference.

Don't let the scale bring you down. Use those numbers as a platform to stand on and listen to your body. :)

Thanks for your reply.  It makes a lot of sense.  I am going to push my fluids today.  It could be water weight.  I am a week away from my "due date" , too, so maybe it is related.

Yeah, I weigh every day. It doesn't drive me or my actions when I am up a tad, but boy I feel super fantastic when I reach an all time low on that scale. I have mixed feelings about whether weighing every day is going to be right for me. Most of the vets say it is important during maintenance so you can be on top of weight gain when you see a gain and some use a threshold of 3 lbs.
