Quick update

I was finally able to go. It hasn't been pleasant, but I'm getting there. I've got a lot to get done today. Found out Midget Girl needs to have her tonsils and adnoids removed, so Momma is going to be busy busy. Thanks for the well wishes everyone!

Thanks for the update. I know you are glad that no first year student doc had to dig things out at the ER. Sorry about the midget but better to have that done as a child.

I'm so glad you got it resolved. Now you need to figure out what it takes (for you) for it to not happen again. The worst bout I've had was a week - 3 weeks had to be truly awful. ((Hugs))

Well I've pretty much figured out WHY it happened. I'm on Tramadol, which is like an opiate, but not exactly an opiate. I was told that it can cause some pretty severe constipation. I'm on it for my migraines in between my botox injections. I'm going to start getting acupuncture for the in between times, so this should be the last time I have this issue. *Crossing my fingers*

About the tonsils and adnoids... I also used to work in a sleep clinic before I was a teacher.  Obstructions like that can cause apnea in children, and thus they are sleep deprived.  Thing is, kids symptoms mimics the same symptoms of ADHD.  Just a a thought.  Keep an eye on her behavior post surgery and recovery to see if she is calming down a bit and better able to focus.
