I smoked for 30+ years and now I have COPD not a fun thing. I used to ride my stationary bike 10 miles a day 7 days a week, now I have to use oxygen to walk 20 feet to the car. I know it's a difficult to do as I did quit 12 years ago but it was too late for me. Just remind yourself how much you want to be able to play with your girls and enjoy life with hubby. It's just not worth it once you lose the ability to breathe. Best of luck to you and remember if you stumble you haven't failed you just haven't succeeded yet, keep at it!

Thank you so much. I really needed to see this. I did stumble and had one today. But it was ONE vs ONE PACK. My mom is also quitting due to COPD and is almost to the point of needing oxygen. It's a scary thought, and it's scary enough to get us to stop.

Also, my doctor advised us that smoking decreases the elasticity of your skin, so the more you smoke, the more loose skill you'll have.
