We got the in-writing approval for the sleeve with Dr. Macik today, complete with approval code, etc.

I know I had won the appeal, but there were always little whispers of doubt: What if they wouldn't approve the sleeve or change of surgeon? What if we had to go back and fight more?

It's all behind me now.

And, just when I thought it could not get any better, I saw last night that I am halfway to my out of pocket max, so my surgery out of pocket expenses will be half of what I thought they'd be.

Onward!

Now that it is all behind me, I realize how much it impacted me. My life has been in neutral since late December.
