How do you feel? Are you OK? NSV?
When I finally got my chance and enough money up to have my surgery I was not shy about telling anyone who would listen that I was about to change my life and have 85% of my stomach ripped out. Now it's two months post op and a total of 65 lbs down (including pre op diet) and its starting to show quite a bit. I'm getting complements every day from co workers about how great I look but along with that almost always comes "How do you feel? Are you OK?" LOL. I always answer politely, "Thank you, I feel great!"
I think it's wonderful that people are so concerned but really people, I'm fine. As a matter of fact, I'm the best I've been in years!
Congrats! I know just what you mean - I told everyone too - so no does she have cancer wonder as to why the weight was dropping lol.
I think people see how little we eat and think there is no way you can be ok on that - after all, they think "I just ate a big mac, super sized fry and large diet coke and am still hungry - can I have the rest of your lunch?" LOL
Keep rockin your sleeve!
My family and friends have been great all along the way during my weight loss. However, co-workers not so much. I was in a meeting one day when my supervisor pulled me out just to tell me she was concerned about me and that I was losing too much weight. REALLY? My response was exactly what you had said "I'm fine. As a matter of fact, I'm the best I've been in years!" What I really wanted to say is, "I wish you would have said something to me years ago as I gained weight and continued getting fatter and fatter". All I can say is, some people are crazy. Well, keep us posted on you success and keep up the hard work, it's paying off.
