Thank you for saying after 4 weeks you feel better.  I'm one week out and apparently in my WTF phase.  I am tired, my body is hungry ( not head hunger, but need to drink some skim milk before I start shaking hunger) my side hurts like a bi*&$, I drink all day and my pee is till yellow and I am feeling sorry for myself.

It's good to know it gets better.  They should never lie to people and say you can go back to work in a week, or it's like gall bladder surgery...it's not!

I do not dream of crunchy - I dream of soup!

Lisa,

I am still not very hungry I have to eat on schedule so I get my protein in, it really does get better its all part of the process and I just know will be worth the sacrifice someday in the future. In only four weeks I feel like I have been through so much,,,,at least for me the liquid only was the hardest part, thank goodness for sugar free popsicles....helped me through this stage. the mushy blended foods feels weird and takes a lot of planning and work but I am doing it. Next step is the soft foods in a couple of weeks and just wonder what that will be like since it seems my taste has changed significantly.

Hang in there and know what you are doing is a transformation to good health for you and your loved ones...

Sorry you're having such a hard time right now. It does get better, honestly. Some folks recover much more rapidly than others. I think it's very individual. (As a comparison, my gall bladder surgery was far worse than VSG - go figure! The gall bladder surgery had me down for a few weeks. VSG maybe a week and I was good to go.)

Anyway, do know it gets better and better. Soon this part will be a faded memory!

Joe,

I'm just over a month out and was struggling with light-headedness and feeling like I was going to topple over. I was weak too. My Dr. took me off of my BP meds and it cleared right up. Though, I'm holding a bit of water and stalled at the moment.

Hey Jeff,

I am glad you found the solution to the light headedness! I wish I could find mine...I am not currently taking any medication so I cant attribute it to that, not sure why its happening though...I am taking the vitamins I should but seem to struggle getting all the protein in but ok with water intake.

I know things will get better since it has thus far ...it just gets a little frustrating.

Thanks for your message,

Joe

A full two inches more and the extra energy is amazing. All night long like a teenager.

Things are going well. I'm down to the last 2 1/2 weeks of school and am exhausted! Crap food abounds right now at school, too, so I'm buckling down to stay clean! Love having the support system I have - makes it much easier to stick to plan.
