Sure.  I am no stranger to therapy as I struggle with bipolar disorder and anxiety.  I just haven't been in for an appointment since before I started the whole WLS process!

- Sticking to a 2 week liquid diet even though it is not required by my surgeon

- Doing exercises to reduce stress and anxiety over surgery.

- Organizing my closets. For some reason.. this seems really necessary before surgery. LOL

- Doing one last trip to the store to make sure I have everything I need for when I get home.

Surgery in 4 and a half days!

Good girl! You've got this. One thing that really help sooth me when I got home from the hospital (check with your dr. For when it's ok) was hot chicken broth. That was my go to liquid for a while- made my tummy happier. Good luck.

Its gonna be good. I know its a very personal thing, but I hope you will share what you find with all of us. At least the stuff you are comfortable with.

I'm starting therapy tomorrow! I'm doing well now, but I know I'm going to hit a point where I'm going to need help, and I'd rather have that relationship and those coping mechanisms established.

The earlier the better! Hopefully you will be able to share some of what you learn with all of us. Therapy is a very personal thing, so please only share what you are comfortable with, but so many of us here never got our head right first.

I bought a new pair of sneakers to keep in the car. I drive past a park on my way home from work. No excuses for not walking everyday now! (I just have to actually PUT them in the car!)
No more excuses for me!
