Yea I drink the same shakes. I'll just have to have it twice a day. You're doing so well! I feel like im failing because its so hard to hit all my goals (water/protein). Work in progress tho! And glad to hear im not the only on completely frustrated with the stall!

I'm nearly 2 months out and I've only hit 600 cal once.  I stay around 450-530.  But even so I hit my protein #s everyday.

I eat chicken or fish for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.  I end the day with a protein shack.  I consistently get a minimum of 80 gr protein.   You just have to shop wisely with your food choices.  For me that means nothing overly processed.

May I suggest that you not freak out about the calories at least not for a couple more weeks and really really focus on hitting protein goals, meeting fluid goals, getting vitamins in etc. Your body is physically super stressed out right now, you'll feel much better if you are less mentally stressed out and the fewer balls you have in the air the better (fluid/protein/vitamins goals are much easier than fluid/vitamins/protein AND Calories and other macros all at the same time-count cals and carbs if you want later but right now unless you are eating/drinking junk those mostly take care of themselves this early out).

Your goal right now is recovery and making sure you getting your body what it needs for that. Calories as calories are fuel- which is important but the fact is, if you qualified for surgery presumably you have plenty of fuel (fat). Your body can metabolize fuel- but it can't get itself the stuff it needs to metabolize it which are...you guessed it...protein, fluid, and vitamins...that's how you can help yourself.

More practically- once you find a rhythm that works for you it's MUCH easier- lather, rise repeat easy actually. The tip about starting early in the day is spot on.

You don't need to break the stall- your body will do that- don't worry about it. Your job at this point is to let your body do it's thing and heal! Your body is very much like your mind- it's incredibly sophisticated and has the ability the multitask but can't really do that many hard things at once- right now your body is doing a big healing pu****'ll  get to metabolizing more fat soon. Promise.
