Got my hospital bill

Just over $41k submitted to insurance. Doesn't include radiology or pathology or my surgeon's fees. This is for Northside Hospital, Atlanta.

WOW!!! I keep checking online to see when my claim will hit. lol

WOW, Got mine and 43589.76 I will be billed for 20% so a little under 10,000 still a lot but I'll pay it. It's close to what some paid to go to Mexico and the plus for me is my doctor is in the UNITED STATES if i need to see him again. He and my PCP are in contact with each other.

I am so grateful for insurance. I had to pay $434 to the surgeon and $692 to the hospital (thanks flex spending!) but this wipes out any medical expenses outside of co-pays for the rest of the year. When you add in the amount I spent hiring Walter Lindstrom to handle my appeal, out of pocket total came to about $2k. Still far, far less than self pay for surgery.

My bills are beginning to roll in too.  I am in the same boat, used all my flex spending so the rest if the year is out of my pocket...I have a maximum I can pay out of pocket and I suspect I will hit that. Thank goodness for good insurance!!

Yep, the 1100 i paid took me to my out of pocket max, so only copays for the rest of the year!

my insurance pays the whole thing , but at the info seminar they said it cost $37000, fun I seen a different patients insurance bill and it was for $100,000, ,probably all the tests where not included in the $37000,or the unlimited water in the hospital

100k? Mercy! And lol on the water. What i didn't understand on mine was why pharmacy charged 4800 but i was also charged 322 for drugs. Must be sort of like the breakdown at the car repair- parts and labor, lol!
