Okay- thanks for all the replies! I really feel like this sleeve is a miracle for my husband and I to get back on a healthy path .

Lots of self-awareness & mental work along with the weight loss & exercise going on in this journey! Hopefully someday I will be confident enough to be comfortable with answering the question!

That is hilarious Kairk!!

I'm proud of my number so I tell anyone who asks the exact number. I've lost a large person and I'm not going to understate it as I've worked bloody hard for it!! I don't care if they do the mental maths to try and work out how heavy I was. That's the past.

I would give an "around" number.... Ive lost around 50lbs...etc. When I got to over 200 lbs lost... I give an "over" number. I have lost over 100 lbs. There was somthing about losing 200ish pounds that felt embarasing to me. Now I am dying for people to ask how much I weigh. I want to yell from the rooftop that I weigh 138 flippin' pounds. Nobody asks that, which I find funny. They are willing to ask how much lost but not my weight. That is ok... I will just wait for the moment! =). Good luck and you will find something that works for you.

"Enough for you to notice." That'll be my answer when someone notices.

Just today we had a family function and my extended family that hadn't seen me since Christmas was asking me just that.  With them I don't mind sharing all the details, we have a serious problem with obesity in my family, and if my journey will help any of them take step to better their own health I'm all for it.  Surprisingly a gentleman from the guest of honors other side of the family, over heard us talking and walked over and shared that 7 years ago he had bariatric surgery and lost over 200lb and has been able to keep the majority of that weight off.

Now with just acquaintances I keep my answers vague. When comments like "You arn't going to lose any more are you?" or backwards complements are said, I just kindly reassure them that I'm working closely with my surgeon who has set goals for me that I am working towards.  When I reach those goals we will reassess together what is best for me.

Starting/Highest Weight 340, Surgery Weight 306,
