Wow! Thanks all! I was not expecting such a response. I think that I have come to the right place for encouragement.

Thanks again all!

Good luck on your journey.....I love this forum more than my local support group....I am on here almost daily if not more....check out the search button, the daily articles on the front page, and all the other option...check all the forums out too.....are you tracking your food yet? If not I would start that tomorrow, I use My fitness pal and know a lot of people on OH do, too.....

Welcome Todd!

I'm on my 4th day of my pre op liquid diet. I'm no vet. But I'll tell you, the best thing you can do is to tell yourself everyday to look at the bigger picture. When or if you get frustrated at any point, remember your not only doing this for you... You're doing it for your family.

Good luck Todd!

welcome to the forum!  great place to get you going ... sure has helped me.  The sleeve is awesome, stick to plan and you'll be rocking it in no time!  good luck on the preop diet and surgery ... the first few days of each are rough, but after that it's clear sailing.  :)

My Surgery is August 1st.  I found something today on YouTube that was really informative.  8 short videos (less then 10 minutes each) by Connie Stapleton titled Pre-Bariatric Surgery Presentation.  I would recommend them to anyone scheduled for surgery.

Congratulations on your decision to be the best you can be!  I am 9 days post op and I am happy I made the decision.  Yes, WLS is life changing but so worth it; you are taking care of you.  Just think of all the perks that you'll enjoy.  What I can tell you is that it is so important is to stick to your pre surgery diet as best as you can; this will help you transition well to liquids after the surgery.  After your surgery follow your Dr advise, listen to your body, drink plenty of fluids and walk.  Good luck to you and I wish you the bestenlightened
