So cute, I was in the Rockin' scene in San Francisco for years - all through the 1990's when it was all bleeding edge and very original, and very few people in the country were in the Scene.  I went Hemsby in England twice, and to the first VLV in 1998, and 8 more after that. Love vintage!  That dress is gorg!

Very cool!  I have not been out to VLV yet, some day!  We had a pretty tight knit rockabilly scene here in Minneapolis but it has fizzled out a bit.  A good friend of mine runs Twin Cities Rockabilly but he was losing money on it due to no one coming out to the shows anymore.  Kind of a bummer.  Now that Bettie Page Clothing is at the Mall of America now I am seeing it EVERYWHERE. I love it. It's such a flattering style on SO many body shapes!

I say great idea - BUT - try to shop at Goodwill for pieces, Marshalls, Target, Wal-Mart "George" line, and there is a plus sized consignment store in Kennesaw I think.  You will be losing weight so rapidly, it doesn't make sense to invest in too many great pieces now.  Even when you get to goal, you may choose to have plastics, and your size will change again!
