Coffee creamer

Anybody ever used coffee creamer to flavor protein drinks? I never drank coffee so I have no idea if these even have that much flavor. Just saw some interesting flavors the other day as I was aimlessly wondering around the grocery store( since that is what you do when you are still learning what to buy) . Just curious... I use milk in my protein shakes for now and as long as I can tolerate it I will continue. It gives me protein, calcium, and good carbs. Thanks.

I do and it makes all the difference to mask the "protein-y" after taste that I get from my powder. I actually just started this a few days ago, so I only have one to recommend. I am using the International Delight Cold Stone Creamery "Sweet Cream" Creamer in a cup of light soy milk with my Syntrax Nectar Vanilla Bean Torte powder. I also mix in a few ice cubes that I made out of Chai tea for a bit of caffeine and extra flavor. According to MFP, that's 205 calories, 13 g carbs, and 29 g protein. May be a bit high in carbs (7 from the soy milk and 6 from the creamer), but I keep carbs super low the rest of the day and it seems to be working for me!

I'll definitely be trying other creamers to "shake" up my shake routine

I saw a butter pecan flavor, a samoas flavor, and hazelnut. I thought all of those would go well. How much do you mix in? I am not doing an extremely low carb diet myself. My surgeon says if you get your protein that is the key. He suggest less than or equal to 100 carbs a day. I think max I have consumed is maybe... 60. And I had some strawberry lemonade and juice that day.

I used about a tablespoon and it went a long way. It's pretty potent.

100 carbs seems like a LOT to me. As long as you still at a calorie deficit, you'll still lose weight but you might lose slower than those who follow a lower carb regimen. Just my two cents. Take them or leave them ;)

I would rather lose slower anyway. I did this to be healthy.  I've also suggest at minimum 1000 calories. Being on extremely low carb will send you into ketoacidosis. I do understand in a healthy individual that this is ok short term. However I do not want to put my body under such extreme criteria. If I struggle to consume 1000 calories a day and get in my exercise and 70-100 grams of protein, I will lose weight. I mean before I did not struggle at all to consume 5,000 calories a day. So 5,000 to 1,000 is a substantial difference. Yes it may take me longer to get to goal and I am ok with that. Plus the slower you lose the less loose skin. My surgeon says that if I stick to his plan I have the potential to lose 100lbs in a year. I am sticking to his plan. I don't say a lot about this sort of stuff on here because I don't want anyone to get offended. Nothing against other plans, but I am following what I was suggested. Thanks for the input on the creamer. I will get some and let you know if I liked the flavor.

Yes, sugar free creamers. My favorite is caramel macchiato with a packet of Starbucks instant coffee with chocolate protein powder and unsweetened vanilla almond milk

I use the sugar free sweet cream. I'm addicted to that stuff. You don't need much and only 1 g carb per tlbspoon.

Target has it. Just came out about 2 months ago. Coffee mate brand. Ask your local supermarket to stock it.
