I feel like I haven't lost any weight. I went to buy clothes today and NOTHING fit STILL!! I'm down to 185 ish up and down daily but I feel like its just muscle mass and not actually fat because all my clothes are still about the same and my it is frustrating wanting to buy jeans and still in the "plus sizes" oh well.... I guess. I'll just keep waiting.

i lost over 100 lb and most cloths  are loose but if I try smaller sizes they still do not fit right , the bigger you are the more weight you need to lose to go down a size , those girls in the lower single digit sizes can lose a few lb and go down a size

 it will just take some time for you body to adjust, the sizes will come down

First, congrats on losing 40 lbs.  Have you taken any pictures for comparison?  Maybe you could see a difference in them.  Also, are you doing any resistance training?  It will help keep you from losing muscle.

Hang in there...I had to lose about 50 before I bought any new clothes, and I still wear a lot of the same ones I wore pre-op.

Are you doing any strength training? I just started because I want to maintain my muscles mass while losing.
