The C word. No, not cancer, commitment

VSG on 06/12/13
I just got back for signing up with my trainer for 2 sessions a week for the next 12 months. I sure hope he loves me as much as I love him, lol! We are going to be seeing a LOT of one another.

I was hesitating on the term. 3 months? 6? 12? My therapist reminded me this is time to invest in myself. What better way to do it? So, in the spirit of "yay, me!" I jumped in for 12 months.

Good for you, Laurie!  You made the life-time commitment when you got the surgery so might as well jump in with both feet :-)

Doing exactly that was one of the best investments in myself I have ever made. I still meet with my trainer weekly!

Wow, WTG!! Yay you indeed.

And here I thought my 20 session commitment was impressive (actually, I'd do more if it were more affordable).

Congrats! I did the exact same thing and its great! I started this past May, a year and a half post surgery. I was fine with what I weighed, but my BMI was 25. Since then I dropped a dress size and achieved a NORMAL BMI. Worth every penny. I go every other week and go to the gym 4 times a week.

I worked with a personal trainer about 2 years before my surgery...trying to lose the weight...when he asked me to get boxing gloves, I thought he was nuts, but it was actually my favorite part of the work out.  I thought, how am I going to burn calories boxing...Ohhhh...Emmmm...Geeee....

I wish I could afford a personal trainer again...but unfortunately, that isn't in the cards for me anytime soon...

You go girl...work your little tail off!!
