I'm almost six months out from surgery and thought it would be ok to take Anacin for a headache.  So wrong.  Oh my poor tummy....should have listened to the surgeon about taking aspirin.

always lisson to your doctor , But I was told I could take nsaids after a few months and have been taking low dose asprin from day 1

don't know why a few Anacin should bother you so much , it is the long term problem with nsaids that is a problem , they stop mucus from forming that protect your stomach and help ulcers form

I've taken one Aleve per day the last 3 days because I get SEVERE menstraul cramps and I have not had any issues and I'm 2 weeks+ out.  I saw my NUT on Wednesday and told her I was in severe pain and she said to take it only if I must (and this was a must - same answer when I asked her about coffee also).  She advised me to take Tylenol.  However, we all know that Tylenol has terrible side effects and since I already took that for 10 or so days after my surgery (Loratab) I didn't want to take any more.

i have had severe reactions in the past from nsaids.  even taking one advil will give me a horrible stomach ache.  this was before vsg.  i had erosion and an ulcer from that stuff.  so some people can be super sensitive.  i wouldn't even imagine trying it now.
