Update on bottomless pit
A few days ago I posted about feeling like a bottomless pit. For yesterday and the day before, I upped my calories, mostly in fat. No other changes in exercise, water, etc. I sat on my butt ALL DAY yesterday at a conference. By the time I went to bed last night, I was feeling normal again.
This am: 1.4 lbs down from Saturday, when I posted. It makes no sense, but craziness seems to be the only constant here.
Lesson I am taking away: give myself a couple of days to listen to my body, within predefined "guard rails". Maybe it knows what it is doing, after all.

Anybody else have interpretations?

Bottomless pit? I wasn't on OH much all weekend so maybe I missed your post? Bottomless pit is definitely me that time of the month! I can eat anything & everything. I'm getting signs of TOM today so I'm hoping that is explaining my 1 pound gain from yesterday. I have been eating around 800 calories for the past 6-7 days now which is normally really hard for me at 2 + years out.
You are so right, our bodies do know what we are doing, it just takes it time to readjust like everything else.
Congrats on your SV!!!!

I recently upped my calories to around 900 or so because I was a weak and tired bottomless pit who wasn't losing an ounce. It worked for me, although I don't recommend for everyone, especially those with lots left to lose.
I almost miss TOM. TOM hasn't been to see me for two months! I've decided not to worry though, as my doctors don't seem overly concerned. It's kind of a mind **** though because I am always thinking it's that time every time I get a headache or cramps or feel at all tired.
Laurie,
I completely agree. During my weight loss phase I would have days that I was just straight up hungry all day. Not typical, but when it happened it took me a while to figure out how to best handle it. I would eat until I was satieted- and it took a lot more calories in a shorter amount of time. But, once I did that I seemed to reset and not be hungry. Overall I would eat less calories for that type of day then not doing that too. I tried both ways. Try to be extra mindful about dense protein on these days and I eventually realized salads were also really helpful to bulk up without the cals (and I like salad so it totally works for me).
