Another surgeon moving

Hello, I was wondering if this happens frequently, or is it just in my area?  When I scheduled my surgery at this particular clinic (where my husband had his RNY), I chose his surgeon, well a few months before I was to have surgery, he left the practice.  Today at my 3 month check up I found out my dear surgeon (who is the greatest by the way, and I was so lucky to get him) is moving to Oregon.  So sad!!! I know my procedure is over, but it was a comfort to know that this great man could do other procedures for me if needed.  Has this happened to a lot of others?  I wonder if this type of practice has high turnover rates and/or is the new health care act affecting some?

Thanks for your thoughts!

Losing your surgeon twice has to be disconcerting to say the least.  Here is a link to a list of surgeons in your area in case you need help.

We hope the next one will be around to help you through your weigh loss and after.
