The say "Good things come to those that wait"
Well, if that's the case, I better get something really good when I do finally get sleeved! lol
So I just spoke with the surgeon's office and they did confirm they sent my appeal paperwork and it could take up to 45 days to get a decision. She also informed me that because of the holidays, they are already booked for December because the doctor is only doing surgeries the first two weeks of December!
So I explained to her that my insurance may change in January to exclude bariatric surgeon (I don't believe it will). She is going to try and call the insurance co and see what she can do to get a quick approval.
If not, I'm not looking at January or possibly February! Not happy, but there is nothing I can do at this point.
Keep your head up chick!!! Try to enjoy the thanksgiving holiday with your family. Hopefully they CAN get you in by December.

I've heard that surgery slots book up fast in December because people want to get in before their deductibles reset, too. :(
Crossing fingers for you that it goes quickly!

Hi Pharmagirl, I have been following your struggle to get approved. I'm keeping everything crossed for you. Just posting to let you know you have another supporting hoping for the best for you :)
The "gals" in my center had ego issues. Just saying as the added a test when I was going thru the insurance approval with out them (two other ladies that I now of had them do the same to them) and added "one more test." As two surgeons announced they where leaving and I wanted to get the surgery done before they left. I was all set to go before they added the test just to mess with us and I had to wait until the next year and I couldn't have my surgeon.
