Hi there! I've been reading about how to possibly prevent excess skin or at least minimize it. I came across some info suggesting that taking gelatin supplements could help. Post surgery is it ok to experiment with supplements like this? Or has anyone else tried this? Just curious. :)

Will it hurt?  No.  Will it help?  Probably not.

Excess skin is a function of age, genetics, and how long/how much you were overweight.  Younger folks have more elasticity in their skin.  If you haven't been overweight for long, you may not have a lot of excess.  Or you may have won the genetic jackpot and just have good skin.  There's not a lot you can do to avoid it.  It either happens, or it doesn't.

Some people say the capsules help skin and nails.  You can take them or just eat a lot of jello.  Don't believe the capsules will hurt anything.

Genetics are the ace card, but you can take good care of your skin with exfoliating, moisturizing creams with cellulite eliminator, gentle massage, and lifting weights to build muscle underneath the loose skin.

Lots of smooth muscle fills in the loose skin and make it look much better.
