A few things to "think" about......
Thanks for posting this, Frisco. Even if people don't decide to take this to heart, they need to know that this method is out there and has been successful for many people!
I have to say...I credit the advice of many of you here, especially Frisco and Elina with my success. I did not follow my doctor's plan as it was too "liberal" in terms of carbs, calories, etc.. and think because of my choice to follow the oft-touted

I saw my doc yesterday for my 6 month follow up. He can't get over how well I'm losing. I'm losing this way because I don't follow the plan that I was given. It would have started me off at 1300 cals/day. I chose to follow the low carb route and stay around 600 cals/day. At 6 months out I have allowed myself to go up to 600-750 cals/ day. I haven't increased my carbs. I want to get where I'm going and I want to get there as fast as I can ( sort of how I drive, too!) I want to establish great habits now, and keep them in maintenance. If I were to start experimenting, I personally, would not do well.
