Does liquid calcium citrate absorb better than pills!  Where do you buy it and what brand?  Thanks!

Supposedly it's better absorbed, but in any case, it's much easier for me to take than pills! I use Reviva which I buy online from Costco. They also make a liquid vitamin.

Did the doc clearly understand that you had VSG and not RNY?  The latter  has permanent significant absorption issues; the former should only cause vitamin B12 deficiency (because the bit of stomach that's removed produces intrinsic factor, which is necessary for GI absorption of B12; that's why we're recommended to take sublingual or injected B12).

Take calcium, take vitamin D, and stay away from fizzy drinks as they skew your calc/phos balance and this causes calcium to leach out of your bones.  Exercise, particularly that which isn't load-bearing on the joints (walk instead of jog, or swim/aqua aerobics) also helps.
