Plastic surgery- strategies to decrease swelling?

Hello,

Does anyone out there have some strategies to reduce swelling post abdominoplasty?  I was doing O****il I went back to work last week, and after just two days I am swollen up like a blowfish and pretty sore.  Yes, I am wearing the garmet 24/7 and using ice packs here and there.  Prior to surgery I wore a loose size 12 and now my 14's are barely fitting, not to mention uncomfortable because they are a little snug on the suture lines and such.  All that is from the swelling.  Thanks in advance, HT

You know I'm not to plastics yet, but I've always read that alternating between hot and cold is the best way to reduce swelling. That method has worked wonders for me for sports injuries in the past, so do with that what you will. Take care of yourself! Don't overdo it!

I ate a lot of fresh pineapple for the bromelain.  You can also get tablets of bromelain.

I had read that and bought some pineapple yesterday, but didn't realize you could buy tablets.  I will look for those today- thanks!
