One Year Ago - What I WISH I HAD KNOWN!

Thank you for this post. I am very nervous, I should be having surgery in March. 

I appreciate this so much. I am only 1 month out and I am having a hard time believing that I will be ok in a year. I am such an optimistic person but now with the sleeve I have been the opposite. Ive hit my first stall and I feel my life is over. You have given me hope. Thanks

I am just starting my research about gbs and just got my first appt letter today!  I really appreciated your post.  The more I research the more certain I am this surgery is the beast choice for me!  I hope to be writing the same type of post next year!😃

Thank you.  I am 4 1/2 weeks post op and this was very encouraging and comforting to read.  Sounds like I'm not alone when I say you have just read my mind almost to a tee!

Very well said. This is doable, but we must each be personally responsible for what goes into our mouths!

I have two days before surgery to go. My protin drinking is not going well. I am afraid this will be a bad choice for me. But have a very bad hinal hernia for years that needs fixing so going for the sleve also. 

Anyhow your post helped calm my nerves some. Eating out has been my only social activity for a long time. It is the only thing my husband likes to do. He is an Aspie and a non social persion. ME I am diffrent. I love people and going places and doing things. 

Your post gives me hope. Thank you.

Thank you. You answered so many of my questions. I was approved 1/23/2014. Meeting with my surgeon after endoscopy, 2/6. Excited, nervous, emotional.

Thank you for this post.  My surgery is tomorrow and I have been stressing that I was going to be the exception and the surgery wouldn't work for me.  I have a few last minute things to run out and get today, and I have to stay busy as clear liquids is tough, but I am ready!!
