Yogurt not agreeing with me!

I have been having issues with really bad feelings in my stomach and last night it started to feel better.  Well this morning  I decided to eat some greek yogurt and my stomach started up again.  I think I'm going to stay away from yogurt for a while.

I did take a nice walk outside today and I felt really good when I got back.  I think it was about 1 mile.

Congrats on your sleeve! I had that problem too. It was to heavy and nothing tasted good. Your body is ready for it yet.  You could try thinning it down with skim milk, soy milk or water, and try it then. I just waited an additional week and tried it again. Good luck and happy loosing!

I think I will just wait a few more weeks to try it again.  I didn't think this would be so hard!

I was afraid it was too early for you with the yogurt.  I'm at 12 weeks post-op and yogurt is (still) too much for my stomach.  You just got home from surgery, I'd stick with broths for a while.

Yes I think that is the best bet!  It was on my plan but my sleeve can't handle it!  How did you do with sf pudding?  That's on my plan also but I haven't tried it.

Anything that consistency, like yogurt or pudding, didn't sit well with me (and they still don't).  I think it's taking me much longer to adapt to things then other people though.  Funny thing is, I couldn't follow (anything) on my plan, so the food chart was absolutely useless for me...and you may find that many things on your plan won't be acceptable for you either for a while.  I hope I'm wrong, but that's how it was for me.  If you find a particular food bothers you, or you feel uncomfortable, it's best to take a step back from it for a while and go back to the basics.  ;-)

Ok, I won't even try the pudding right now.  All I'm doing now is, tea, and broth.  I might try some sf hot chocolate.  My plan says I can have cream of wheat and instant grits.  I don't like cream of wheat but I do like grits.  Maybe in a week or so I will try it.  I will make sure it's really watery.

That sounds like a good plan!  :-)

You might be experiencing lactose intolerance. I had that the first few weeks. I started taking my probiotic in the meantime. I am now able to eat and drink dairy products. I could not handle protein shakes the first three weeks either.

I thought about that too.  I told my mom the same thing.  I'm going to stay away from it for a little while.  I did heat up my protein shake and it went down a little easier.

How is your journey going?
