I cooked today!
Good girl! And moving around as you feel able will help with the healing. Don't overdo, and treat yourself well.
goal!!! August 20, 2013 age: 59 High weight: 345 (June, 2011) Consult weight: 293 (June, 2012) Pre-Op: 253 (Nov., 2012) Surgery weight: 235 (Dec. 12, 2012) Current weight: 145
TOTAL POUNDS LOST- 200 (110 pounds lost before surgery, 90 pounds lost Post Op.diabetes in remission-blood pressure normal-cholesterol and triglyceride levels normal! BMI from 55.6 supermorbidly obese to 23.6 normal!!!!
It's so nice to get back to doing all the normal things after surgery. I'm amazed at how my sense of smell has changed already. Hubby made bacon and eggs for the kids this past weekend and all I could smell was the fat in the bacon and it was disgusting. Who would have ever thought I wouldn't like the smell of bacon cooking!?
That's awesome! I'm impressed you didn't want any. I haven't lost the desire for food bit I've lost the hunger that drove the compulsion to fruition so I can resist and that's amazing in and of itself. Yesterday was my mom's birthday and I definitely wanted the caramel cake but I cut it for everyone and washed my hands instead of licking my fingers and that's a win! I've promised myself no cake during loss and I passed the first test.
That is an awesome way to put it. Im the same way lost all hunger, but the desire is still there. Im gonna steal that!

Before my surgery ( 12-28 ) I told hubby, he was gonna need to fend for himself ( he can't boil water ) since I wasn't going to be cooking all the good crap I couldn't eat. About a week into my recovery, I started cooking and haven't stopped since I have no appetite and even when the food looks really really good, I would never jeopardize slinky ( my name for my sleeve ) by consuming something not on my plan. Hubby is very appreciative of my cooking so he is doing all the laundry and vacuuming for me. Good luck with your sleeve and recovery.
