Snow days and trying not to let them turn into eat everything days...
So the snowdays are getting crazy. It is cold in Michigan, and school is frequently getting cancelled for wind chills and/or terrible driving conditions. I am all for keeping the kids safe! But... my daughter is home holed up and has been cooking nonstop now for three days. All great healthy vegan stuff, plus cookies to send up to my son, plus.... my point is that without my ability to exercise I am at high risk of gaining right now. Time to come up with a strategy. Doing my prolific amounts of homework (taking an Ed. Specialist program along with a Masters in Applied Science program along with teaching full-time at the moment) is not working, as I love to munch while working. Ugh. Normally I would hit the elliptical, walk, etc., but no can do due to recovery still. So, any suggestions?

Duct Tape, strategically located, maybe? Just joking!! What I am doing is the liquids thing- no eating 30 min after- and 30 minutes after, it's more liquids....ghaaaa.....no fun, but I, too, am going crackers in this no where to go cold. Good luck. Hope someone has a good idea 'cause I'm swimming up to the eyeballs in tea. By the way, how's the plastics recovery going?

You may get a kick out of this. I live in New Orleans and all the schools are shut down tomorrow and we are in a state of emergency because it may drop down to below 30* and it may rain. Oh my, we may actually get some snow. Everyone is stocking up to bunker down for a day! It is very exciting but hopefully we will be back up to the 60's by the end of the week. Today I didn't even need a jacket! Stay warm!
