Tummy Tuck
Hi my OH friends, it's been a long time since I've posted. February 15, 2014 made my 2 year surgerversary. I would still like to loose 15 more pounds but I'm very happy with my tool. I've been wanting a tummy tuck for a year. Well, my husband is paying for my full tummy tuck, breast lift and removal of skin in my inner thighs (surgeon said I didn't need a thigh lift). Surgery date is March 13, 2014. I'm so grateful that I have a supportive husband!! Could someone please send me some responses about their plastic surgery journey. Thanks in advance!!!!
I don't have any information but I just wanted to say congrats on getting a date for your plastic surgery. It's great to have a supportive husband!!
I had a TT Dec 9th of last year. I have an anchor scar- straight up the middle and around the hips. The doc took off 5 pounds of tissue, did a little lipo, and tightened the abdominal muscles. Make sure your surgeon lifts up the Mons area, or you will end up with a pouch in that area- terrible! My guy did. The results were absolutely amazing! I have a perfectly flat tummy now and a beautiful hour glass figure.
Recovery:
I started with 4 drains and normally they come out between 1 and 2 weeks. I got 2 off them out 10 days post op, but had to go 4 weeks on the 2 left in the Mons area. Ugh. But, they were not nearly as bad as what I expected overall. I had a Qball pump for the first 3 days that really made a difference with pain management, so ask about it. Overall, I was sore but it was very tolerable for sure. Lots of swelling at first. I am still swollen in the Mons area, and will swell up with any kind of exercise. Even walkng the treadmill right now causes some pain, so I just have not been exercising as a result. Nothing terrible- I am just making sure I give my body time to heal. Doc said no strenous stuff for probably 6 months (weight lifting for example). I have a post I wrote up a while back giving tons of details on the experience, so check out my old posts for more info. Congratulations!!!
