After being sleeved, can we take Benadryl/antihistamine type medicine??  

in general yes but your just out of surgery so you should call your surgeon first

ps there are no silly questions , any any questions about meds should first be ask of your doctors , most people on this site are not medical professionals some will give you good advice some bad , but your most likely to get good medical advice from your doctor

i was told to take a anti histamine  when I had a rash a few weeks after my surgery, but im not you and you may have different medical needs than me  

I was OK'd to take Benadryl every night.  They have a Internist on staff for Bariatric patients and he is the one that said no problem.

I  developed a rash from the surgical tape and took Benadryl while in the hospital.  I would definitely check with your surgeon's office to make sure.  I know Benadryl makes you sleepy and this may impact other meds you are currently taking.

Me too!  I took the pill form at 1.5 days post op b/c of a reaction to the tape.
