Thank you... thank you ...thank you for posting this.  You have SUCH courage... thank you.  People like me need to see what can happen if we aren't careful.  I noticed myself last week having an extra bite of chicken, a bite of this and that before meals..and I do NOT want to slip back into those unhealthy bad habits again.  You CAN lose the weight you gained, you just have to use the tool that you were given, which I KNOW you can.  It will be hard, it won't be easy, but you CAN do it.  We'll be here to support you!

Reading your post gave me a sinking feeling in my stomach.  I'm so sorry that you're regained the weight.  It is my greatest, greatest fear regarding this surgery.  Thank you for having the guts to share it here and hopefully we can be as much help to you as your post was to me...letting me know that it happens and I must be ever vigilant.

Do you still feel restriction when you eat a dense protein?  I'd start there.  I don't know as much about this as many here but, just from my own head, I'd probably fast for a day...clear liquid only...to try and get my head clear.  Then the next day I'd hit dense protein and nothing else.  And I mean hit it hard. No sliders, no carbs, just protein.  I'd work on getting back to feeling that restriction.  Then I'd go back to my post-op diet of protein first and veggies if there is room left.

I also think that, if I had a complete regain due to alcohol, that I'd never touch the stuff again.  Same goes with anything that led to that regain.  Carbs, alcohol, whatever.  Never, ever, again.  No room for moderation on this one, imo.  It didn't work for you.

So many hugs coming your way!  Best wishes.
