Blood Pressure Meds

I have been very light-headed for a while. I am wondering if I need my meds  adjusted? I had a dabocle yesterday and tore my cornia and in the ER the nurse took my BP and said it was 96 over 70. Is that low for someone who weighs 214 pounds? I called my PCP to get an appointment but of course couldn't get in.

Call your surgeon or go back to the ER if it's low again and see if the ER doctor can change your dosage. 

I agree you need to see someone asap.... sound to me like you either need your bp meds lowered big time or elicited all together! !! Since the day of surgery my bloop pressure has been perfect or a tiny bit low no meds anymore here!!!! :-)

Thanks. I will call the surgeon tomorrow. Getting into my pcp is like pulling teeth. It is great that you are off your meds. I am hoping to follow in your steps.

did you tell them your feeling light headed and had low blood pressure if so I would look for a different pcp, Mine always squeezes me in if it is for something that can't wait , urgent care is an other place you can go for help 

Hi Mickey. Yes I physically stopped by the office , which is next to the office where I had to get a breathelizer and drug test for workman'scomp. Told the receptionist. She said the doctor was across the street at the hospital and was all booked up.

I like the "idea" of this pcp because she has a "holistic" approach, but it hard to get an appointment. Maybe I SHOULD look for another pcp, especially since I will be having the vsg pretty soon.

Funny you posted this. I had my appointment today with my PCP because of feeling lightheaded and some pressure (head)

my blood pressure always been high (around 140-150)

well today it was around 97 (don't remember the bottom number sorry) and he gave me a smaller dose. I have to go back if I don't feel better by Monday.

Newme, that is great. I suspect that is my issue too. Now just have to work on seing someone. I hate to syop taking the meds in case the lightheadedness isn't from the meds. Don't feel that way all the time, just a couple times a day. Still, it isn't normal.

I have had my blood pressure medication adjusted several times. It is pretty normal with the weight loss. You need to see someone who can help you.
