Congrats! The hospital will pretty much provide everything you need. I would pack your phone, phone charger, tablet/ipad if you have one (I did not use it at all in the hospital). I left in the clothes I wore to the hospital too. Honestly, you won't need much at all. You are going to be so busy resting, walking and sipping :) I do strongly recommend taking chap stick also!

Congrats ladies!! I had mine last week. I honestly used nothing. I had my phone and charger, but didn't care. I took a magazine, never came out if my bag. If I was awake I was up for a walk. I was there less than 24 hours, if you stay longer you may use a tablet or something. I took a loose dress to come home in and my tooth brush, didn't need anything else.  Good luck and we will see you on the other side!!

I just wanted to wish you the best of luck and a speedy recovery! I had my surgery a few weeks ago and honestly used very little of what I packed!

They wouldn't let me shower so I couldn't even wear the pajamas or nightgown I brought with me. I was so drugged up, I didn't care who saw me in the hall walking! Mainly I walked in the middle of the night anyhow and early in the morning.

The only thing I used was my toothbrush soon as they let me! I did use Biotene a lot. Others here recommended it. I got the spray. I took that with me. My mouth was so dry. It helped a lot!!! Also, I used my phone very little. The tv in the room was never on. You just don't feel like doing anything - at least I didn't it.

I packed my makeup and blow dryer thinking I would NEVER let anyone see me like I was! I got to the point thinking - I'll never see these ppl again. Lol.

Good luck. See you on the other side!!

I was in the hospital for four days. The only thing I used was my toothbrush & toothpaste, and my phone.

I wore hospital gowns the whole time, and I pretty much slept the whole first two days.

I'm here on the Mexican border with my hubby. We packed the usual out if town bag but we had to come from South Carolina. I heard bring Chapstick, loose clothes and sturdy shoes for walking.

good luck MsShawna and NurseJackie!!!!! Tomorrow is our big day! Can't wait to hear what we all have to say in the next few days !
