jp drain

Hi everyone Wednesday I go for my 1 week post -op visit and to get my JP drain taken out. This drain has made me so uncomfortable I am hearing that it will be painful getting it out is this true? I am still in pain from the surgery.

I had to get mine removed a day early because it was causing alot of pain in my right side. Getting it pulled out didn't hurt. There was a slight pulling sensation that felt weird. Don't worry it goes pretty fast. 

Mine was taken out before I left the hospital.  It felt really strange but not painful.  I was scared about that too lol.

I had mine taken out before I left the hospital. I did think it hurt when it was being removed,  although it was fairly quick. 

Thank you everyone I got the drain taken out today and it hurt briefly like everyone said but I feel better!
