my hunger feeling now is nothing like it was pre-surgery. I was always hungry and never fulfilled when I did eat. Now I get a very weak hunger feeling, I eat a little bit about 4 oz's and I'm fulfilled and okay with it for 4 hours if not more.

I had VSG on 8/25 so I can only speak based on my 10 day post-op experience. I am sure this will change over time but I am NEVER hungry and it is so INCREDIBLE. I have to remind myself to eat and even then I can only eat about 4 TBLS of food at one meal. Remember, the surgery removes the part of the stomach where the hunger hormone is produced. I couldn't be happier!

I am 10 months out and am never hungry.  I eat about every 2.5 to 3 hours to get in enough calories and protein now, but it's because I need the food, not because I want the food.  It's really been liberating for me to eat to live, not to live to eat.  Lots of good luck!
