Sleeping Positions Post Op?

A recliner is a good option.  I'm a fetal position side sleeper too, and it was a little uncomfortable right after surgery.  I'd say that within a week I had no problems sleeping in that position again.

I was a stomach sleeper pre-op. Immediately after surgery I would recommend a recliner if you have one. I don't have one but I slept sitting up on my couch my first 2 days home of course I was surrounded by pillows. After I moved to my bed I propped myself up with pillows and I even propped my legs up a little too. It took me about 3 weeks to be able to sleep on my right side and a couple weeks after that before I could comfortably sleep on my left (surgical) side. One thing to keep in mind is I'm the biggest sissy ever, I usually take longer than the average person to recuperate.

It took me about 2-3 weeks after surgery to sleep on my tummy or side again. I was determined to go back to it asap since I can't sleep on my back. I just can't!!! But now I'm having the trouble of having lost so much weight and I can feel my bones, which sleeping on my side and feet together is so uncomfortable now. *Sigh*
