Thanks for the post. Important for us newbies to understand once obese, we are potentially always obese. It's a lifetime battle. Even when we are thin. And you are right on about exercise. If people in wheel chairs can work out so can we. Good luck on your journey.

Just curious--can you eat 4-6 oz of solid protein plus some veggies?  I'm coming up on my 2 year surgiversary and I can't even imagine getting that much in my stomach at once. . .

 

Also, when you say "protein drink," how many grams of protein are you talking?  Mine have 30, so 5 plus a meal with protein might be overkill.

This was copied and pasted form the bariatriceating.com. I actually only do 2 to 3 protein drinks a day that have 23 grams each. I can eat 3 to 4 oz of protein with veggies. This was just to get me back on track. After 7 days I already feel less cravings. I will start adding in more real food gradually but trying to stick with no carbs for now. I love apples and honey crisps are finally in season. This will be my sweet for the day with pb2. I have to remind myself that there are plenty of yummy healthy alternatives to those bad choices.
