It's been six years

My six year anniversary is next week and this is the first time I have logged on this site in years. When I typed in ' six years out ', there was my old "friend" MacMadame.  You were enough ahead of me in our journey, that I was able to learn so much from you.  You will never know how much you encouraged me on my path. I still drink "Mama's crack". (Healthsmart hot chocolate mix in my morning coffee) I love it, and it is a good way to get extra protien in every morning. That advice alone was so important to my success.

I find that my weight has creeped up 10 lbs this last year and am a bit panicked. This makes me 20 pounds above my very lowest weight, which was exactly 100 lbs down from my pre-surgery weight. Time to get back on track and pay attention to my snacking and excersise.I am considering doing the pouch reset diet for five days. I can tell that I have stretched things a bit. I know what to do...

Having the sleeve surgery at 53 years old, truely changed my life. I have never regretted it for one single moment. I only regretted that it was not available earlier in my life.

I have been "normal" for the first time ever.

I love this new adventure of life.  I am able to engage with my husband and children and grandchildren in a whole new way.

I can wear anything I want, and "taste" anything I want, without guilt or shame.

I can move. I feel good!

I choose to be happy.

Thanks MacMadame. Thanks for sharing with all of us.

You gave us inspiration!
