I'm freaked out about losing my hair. Vsg in three weeks. I know it's expensive.. Ask your hair dresser about extensions. That's the first thing I'm doing if my hair talks out.

Unfortunately,  anesthesia is the cause. It does come to an end. I would not waste money on external products.

Your hairdresser will be able to help with a style that disguises some of the thinning.

I fight badgers with spoons.

HI Amy---I lost hair from my sleeeve surgery from 2.5 month to 9 months.  Nothing major since I have alot of hair anyway but noticeable to me.  I then had emergency gallbladder surgery almost 4 months ago (10 months after sleeve surgery) and have not lost any additional hair---I'll keep my fingers crossed for both of us!--Lisa

I had my surgery on October 16th 2014.  I started to lose my hair at about 8 weeks post op.  I am now taking BIOTIN 5000mcg 2 times per day.  It is fast dissolving tablets in mouth kinda like sublingual.  Anyway, it is starting to work after taking it for 2 weeks now. It is great for nails, skin and hair. You MUST get enough protein in your diet everyday or your hair will continue to fall out.  I am down over 70lbs since October 16th.  Went from a size 24/26 in pants to a 14/16 now.  It is nuts
