One Year By the numbers since I walked into the Surgeons office

Yeah, those little kids. When my grandson was about 3 years old (he's now 7), he started with the questions: "Why are you so fat, grandma?" "You're really fat, grandma." "You're fatter than that lady, grandma," etc. I gritted my teeth for a while, then gently told him that I was well aware that I was fat, so he didn't need to keep reminding me and that it was not polite to tell fat people they're fat. To his credit, he never made a fat comment again. Now he's making comments about the "squishy" skin under my arms, but I don't mind that at all!
