Seattle 15 mile Raduis Support Group

I was thinking that maybe in the next 2-3 weeks on a Saturday morning that everyone living within a 10-15 mile radius of Seattle to meet at a Starbucks or restaurant. I think it would be fun to put actual people to all the posts. Of course, if you are willing to travel longer, people that are more north, south, east or west are more than welcome to join in!! Let me know what you guys think of the idea and we can arrange for a group meet-and-greet and support meeting! Marlize 318/197/170

Marlize this sounds like fun! Is the Third Place Books open in the morning? They have a large enough area for us to push a few tables together! I love the place, have only been there a few times, but am always looking for a reason to go back! Plus it is a place I can bring my daughter to, and she can be occupied for a few hours.... My Saturday mornings are pretty flexible (as long as I can get my walk in-- I could be persuaded to get up earlier!) OR we could combine the two and meet at Greenlake for a stroll around the lake and a latte afterwards! I look forward to hearing if others are intersted! Kelly

I would be interested, but perhaps an afternoon? I am taking a class on Saturday morning, and I can't miss it (if I want my degree! ) But it would be great to meet some people.

I would love to come! I am new to this community, and not having surgery till next month... but I know how important support groups are (because it's only going to take a week of talking about this stuff to drive my husband insane). Michelle

Since it seems there are some interest ... I'm going to coordinate a date and time (it will probably be a Saturday afternoon) and we can get together at a Starbucks either in Renton or Bellevue. I'm not real familiar with Seattle, and I'm also a little wary about driving around in Seattle ... I always get lost and I hate all the hills with a manual transmission. N e ways, I'll post a date soon (will probably be around the end of the month). Looking forward to meeting and seeing all of you!!

Hey there! I'm Hannah. I'm new here and I live in Renton. My surgery date is the 20th and my doc has support groups - but only once a month and I've not been to any and the next one is the night before my surgery! ha ha... I'd LOVE to get together with people to talk about things. I work in Capitol Hill Tue - Friday... So...what days/times do people want to meet and where? :) Hannah
