I am home
HEY EVERYBODY. I GOT HOME ON TUESDAY AFTER BEING IN THE HOSPITAL FOR 5 LOOONG DAYS. I HAD A SIGNIFICANT BLOOD LOSS, BUT DID'NT REQUIR ANY BLOOD.(thank goodness)
I AM JUST SOOOOOO TIRED. THEY SAID I WOULD BE EXTRA TIRED DUE TO THE BLOOD LOSS. EVERYTHING ELSE WENT OK. I HAD A LITTLE TROUBLE WITH THE PAIN MED. THEY STARTED OUT GIVING ME DOLOTED(spelling???) WICH WAS NOT HALPING AT ALL. I SPENT THE WHOLE NIGHT IN TONS OF PAIN WITH THEM JUST UPPING THE AMOUNT. THEY FINNALLY ON SATURDAY MORNING SWITCHED ME TO PHENTONOL (i think thats what it was) THAT WORKED WONDERFULLY. THEY DID BLOOD WORK ON DAY 2 AND MY HBC HAD WENT FROM 37 TO 21 WICH THEY SAID WAS A BIG DROP. TI ADD TO THAT I HAD A BOWEL MOVEMENT THAT WAS ALMOST ALL BLOOD. THEY SAID THAT IT HAPPENS SOMETIMES, AND THAT THAT IS PROBABLY THE CAUSE OF MY BLOOD LOSS. THEY PRETTY MUCH JUS****CHED ME, AND KEPT CHECKING MY BLOOD TO MAKE SURE IT WASN'T GOING DOWN AT ALL. THEY DISCHARGED ME WITH A BLOOD COUNT OF 22.7. I HAVE HAD A FEW MORE BLOODY BOWEL MOVMENTS BUT THEY ARE WAY LESS THAN THE BEGINING, AND ARE A DARK RED IN COLOR. HAS ANYONE ELSE THAT HAS HAD THE SURGERY HAD THIS PROBLEM?? THE CARE AT MADAGAN WAS OK. I CAN;T SAY THAT I LOVE MY DOCTOR CAUSE I ONLY SAW HIM ONCE FOR LIKE 10 SECS. I SAW HIS RESIDENTS MANY TIMES, AND THEY WERE GREAT. WELL I AM GOING TO GO LAY BACK DOWN. I AM SOOO TIRED. SORRY IF I HAVE MISSPELLED ANYTHING. HOPE YOU ARE ALL DOING WELL. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR WELL WISHES! AMY
I am soo glad to hear from you!! Sorry you are so tired I hope that you have someone at home with you. Glad that they didn't have to transfuse you too. I'vr heard a lot of people who has a bit of blood loss. Just rest, sip and walk a bit. Even wigglin those toes while you are laying down helps. Soon you will be back in action.
Hey there scooch on down that bench cause our AMY is a looser!!
Hugs~~~
Hi, Amy - So glad to hear that you are back home and doing better! Sorry to hear things didn't go completely smoothly at the hospital, but it's best that they kept you there a little longer to be sure you were doing OK before sending you home. I think you'll find you feel better every day - and before long all the hospital and pain stuff will be just a memory - and you'll be so excited about your weight loss!! Welcome to the loser's bench!!

~Nancy~
