EDITED 3/6/08: WELL.... sorry everyone... I just called and it is only for NWWLS patients. I'm so sorry... but that does not mean I can't share what I learn! :) ************************* Quote below is from Jessie at the Lap Band clinic NWWLS.com in Everett, WA she posted it on another support group board so I thought I'd share.... I'll be there on 3/10. "Come to group in March (3/10 & 3/20). We're going to have "panel of experts" -- there will be 5 or 6 people who have lost well on a panel and you can ask them how they lost 80-150+ pounds. They will freely share all their tricks. If you even find one person who has lost weight all you have to do is follow in their footsteps and you will end up in the same place." 3/10 @ 7pm 3/20 @ 10am

Kathy: I'm sure your welcome......just know that your surgeon maynot have the same "guidelines", but the basics are the same. Shell Marr

Hi Shell, Any chance you'd be willing to ask if non NWWLS patients are welcome to attend the next time you're there? I could have sworn when I asked they told me "no" even though it would take me 5+ hours to drive to and attend the support group available to patients where I had the surgery. They definitely won't do fills for patients who had their surgery within driving distance of their office. Even after reviewing my surgical records they declined. I suppose I can understand that from a liability basis but, honestly, it seems like they really can't lose much by allowing anyone to attend their support group. If you attend a meeting and feel comfortable asking if it's open to any banded patient that'd sure be great :-). It's right by my house and I could definitely use some support to get back on track... Thanks for trying, Shell! After I saw your message I googled suppport and did find out that the clinic in Edmonds does have a support group that's open to everyone regardless of where they had their surgery done. Farther for me but better than 5 hours in the car :-). Here's more info: http://www.pugetsoundsurgicalcenter.com/support-groups.html Britt
