Surgery Cost

Shouldn't a state teaching hospital accept all insurances? I had mine done at UNC Chapel Hill.

Hello, My name is Carol and I too just found this website. I noticed Sue lives near the Wilmington area. I live in the Ocean Isle Beach area, not to far away from your area. My daughter had lapband surgery about 3 1/2 weeks ago in Monterrey Mexico and is thus far happy with her surgery. I plan to have the surgery the first week in September. My question is....is there a respectable, highly qualified doctor in the Wilmington area to do the fills? I did not realize the fills would be so expensive. My daughter found a doctor in Winston-Salem but he is rather expensive. He will not do the fills in his office due to a problem he encountered with causing a leak to the tube area. Now he will only do it in a hospital setting which is a hospital fee, his fee and a radiologist fee - which really adds up. My daughter is paying for my surgery. I do not work outside the home therefore, need a less expensive way to get my fills. Any suggestions?? Have you found a doctor in your area yet for your fills? Please let me know if you find a reputable doctor in that area. Thank you in advance..... Hi Candy!!! I have to agree with one of the other "Posts"...My Surgeon is Dr. Enochs, I LOVE him!! Currently, I'm trying to find insurance coverage (wellpath is my carrier, and they flat out DENY the surgery) but I know he takes all types of insurance, and he's a WONDERFUL doctor!! Good Luck!!!
