22 years Wiccan

Greetings Everyone, I've been pagan from birth and a Wiccan sense 1982. The first time I was in a coven I was the grand ole age of 3. Now I am High Priestess of my own coven the Blue Moon Odyssey. I work with my altar set up in the old way, candles, insence, chalice, bell ect. I do a lot of spells using herbs and parchment paper. I do card readings and psychic readings. I use tarot as well as regular playing cards. Sometimes I pick up psychicly on people just by meeting them or speaking to them on the phone. A few I connect with just by reading an email. Some find this intrigueing others are spooked by it. LOL Well enough of this I thing. Please tell me a little about yourselves. A special hello to Janice and Kelly. Merry Meet Barbara....I've been a learning Wicca for about 2 years and have a long way to go...I have been very interested in being both Pagan and Wiccan...But I was raised by a fire and brimstone Baptist deacon...So needless to say...They were not going to teach me anything different than that...And definately let me learn in their presence....I have 15 different books on Wicca because they all teach me something different and new when I read them...I am somewhat like Phoebe on Charmed in the way that I can sense things and just know things from being around different people and what they give off....I can feel if something is wrong in people or places and feel it in my mind and body...I can sense when someone in my family is either hurt or something bad is going to happen to them....I can feel if a place is evil because it makes me feel anxious and bad when I go into it...My grandmother on my dad's side (Sioux Indian) also had these gifts and we had to talk about them in private...She could sense it in me when I was about 2 years old, and explained it to me and taught me from then on...We could know what the other was thinking and feeling from across the room...Because we both felt the same things...When my grandfather died in Tennessee (her husband) at 2 am she sent me a message to let me know....By thought alone...I was about 12 years old and in Michigan....And woke up crying my heart out and moaning in grief because I knew he was gone...Freaked the whole house out!!!! But since you are a high priestess...Could you please teach me herbal medicines??? I would really love to learn that too...I am planning on a vision quest to purify my spirit in the fall...But how can I set up my altar and such?? Or where would I learn that sort of thing?? I am very interested in learning both Pagan and Wiccan but have no teacher to help me...I have never been in a coven or heard of any around me...But i would love to learn from someone willing to teach me a few things...I have looked all over and can't find anything on setting up an altar or a BOS...So I have been putting info from my books together trying to make sencse of it all...I was alos looking into Tarot but have no clue about any of that...But the premonitions are enough to keep up with...Because they are constant...I just try to keep who I can out of harm's way and hope for the best...I started a BOS one time but I don't know if I am doing it right...Don't it have to be Blessed first?? I heard that somehwere too...As you see I have a lot to learn but I am a very willing pupil....Anyway...I have had most of my testing done already and am playing the waiting game...I think I will use it figuring out my vision quest and my BOS while I wait...Let me know what your take is on the questions because you have more experience...And I have no one else to ask either...I don't want you to feel pressured or on the spot...Just curious...My grandfather (Sioux) gave me the name of MOONHEALER when I was born and blessed me with the moon...That is probably why I spend hours staring at it...I also sleep with the shades open so that the direct moonlight will shine on me and it helps me sleep...I medidtate and spend a lot of time in STILLNESS also...It has really helped my stress level go down...I have a hubby that is behind me 100 o/o in whatever I want to do or whatever belief I choose...So I am lucky there...So I can learn...I also use candles and incense...I have put in a little of using soft music too because it relaxes me...I have totems from the Sioux...and mine is a wolf...I go to Pow-wows to reconnect with them...I do ritual to reconnect with my wicca roots...and keep my premonitions strong...I would love to hear more from other wicca....stay strong and Bright Blessings...Janice

Hi MoonHealer, Your doing right with the note book. Your BOS can be anything you want to write in. I blessed mine by burning insence in the honor to Gaia and asked her blessing while I passed it though the smoke. I will give you some good info on herbal healing just as soon as I can get some time on a computer. Right now I am visiting a friend (also Wiccan) And I don't want to tie up her net. By the way my husband is 1/2 Sioux and has some training as a Shaman. I will ask him for info also. May Gaia smile upon you, Barbara
