new - need advice please

I am learning about wicca. I feel I need to do a cleansing/protection on my house and I want to do some protection/healing for surgery. Can anyone suggest where I should start? A good place for supplies. I live in rural VA and I have not found anyone in my area who does teaching or sells supplies. Thank you, Kristine

Well a good start for cleansing your home is to preform a cleansing ceremony or you can just do some simple things like using the elements. Each spring I go through each room and cleanse (with sage) and bless the rooms with the elements [water, salt, incense (air), candle (fire)]. I have crystals buried at the quarters of my home, I have spell sachets at both doors, I have brooms over all my doorways, and I also ward all entry points of my home.
