A BOOK for us all!!

I just had to tell anyone and everyone about a book my daughter found. It's called Pagans & Christians The Personal Spiritual Experience by Gus DiZerega, PH.D... I found myself back in school and not being able to absorb it fast enough. I also found myself looking up my husbands Bible (King James Version) and comparing it to the refferences. I then questioned my husband on the many contradictions in the bible like Honor thy father and mother but then again you must hate them and everyone else to be a disciple????? It gives you all the passages to look up if you want. It just really hits home in more ways then one and I just have to tell everyone read it. People who ask me why I'm the way I am now, I finally have a way of telling them. I have said read this book!! My husband is now reading it and finding things that are changing his view of things. Boy are they slipping up! I just went onto the board and found your response to my message today 7-12-05. Just had to let you know that it is the best way to open up eyes. My husband is Christian (at least he was before the book). He is shocked at how my beliefs are so much like the way he would like to believe. Wait till you find your husband reading the bible to check out what is said in the book and encourage him to do so. I was raised Catholic, but then most Wiccans who come from other religions were. My baby brother (OK he's not a baby 44, but he's 10 years younger then me) has opened my eyes on a lot of things. We're tuned to each other. If I want to talk to him I just think about it and he'll call and it's the same on this end. We're living together now and it's spooky. Sorry it took so long for a reply but I didn't know. I am going to get this book it should be interesting. My mother does not understand me we spend our time arguing about religion. why can't we all just get along??? oh yeah just to mention. I am pagan and my hubby is buddhist. Check that mix out michelle
