Share the recipe and maybe I can help you "doctor it"...LOL! I have sustituted whole wheat (organic) flour in most of my bread recipes and I found a low carb variety too! LOL! When something calls for molasses I have tried to substitute SF syrup and it worked. HTH!
Good luck on the closing, I know how stressful it can be living with folks who do not share your faith and would never allow you to celebrate in your own way. LOL!
PS- Our coven had a full moon ritual tonight and it was so much fun! Of course I ate some jumbalia (low carb) but it was too spicy and I unfortunatly had to let it "come up"....so sad, it tastes so good going down. LOL!

Hi Jamie,
I wonder where every one else is. This is such a quiet board.
Sounds like you had a great Ostara. We usualy get the coven together and do the whole nine yards but this year was quiet and disappointing.
Right now we are staying at my daughters home along with others that are not walking the same path we do.
We are waiting for a closing date on our house. Then it will get back to normal and the coven will have a place to meet.
My daughter and har family are Wiccan also. But you know how people are when they don't understand something and they are to close minded to even want to know. I think she is going to be sooo releived when they move out.
Do you bake? I'm trying to figure out how to make fertility bread with less carbs. My recipe takes honey and a small amount of molasses.
Blessed Be, Barbara

Right back at yeah girl! What did everyone else do this year? I had the coven over for ritual and they did some great "new beginings" spellwork. I took care of the kidlets and we painted eggs, colored some pictures and did some other fun Ostara activities! LOL!

What I have done so far is substitute whole grains for bleached ones. Luckily with Ostara we can eat eggs! LOL! So make some deviled eggs or egg salad. You can buy one of those egg shaped jello molds and make it with SF jello! Ummm... let me see... what about a lamb meal? I have tons of recipes in my low carb cookbooks!
PLMK, if I can be of more help!

Greeting my fellow Wiccans,
I was just wondering what everyone has planed for Ostara?
I used to do a lot of baking and have a feast with all my family and friends.
This year I don't know what to do. After WLS I can't have a lot of the pagan foods. Any suggestions?
Magickal moon beams to all. BB, Barbara

Russells Point is about 15 minutes off of RT 274 (it is just above the Anna exit on I-75 )
274 runs right into RT 33 and that takes you to Russells Point
hope too meet you someday!!

These days I hit 1-75 since my folks live just on the other side of the OH/MI border in 1-75
How far is 33 from 75?

I know where you are coming from, Jamie!!! I too ate WAY too much and didn't exercixe enough. Portions were my downfall... I could eat an entire meal at a resataurant and a big ol dessert!!!
I have purchaed a few lo carb cook books too! Hubby is on Atkins and doing well (he only has about 40# to shed) I am also tying to re-write some of our favorite dishes to be lo carb, lo fat. a great cook's challenge!!
I am still addicted to watching the food channel!!! LOL
I am so amazed that I do not have that knawing hunger anymore.
oh, Jamie, you said you travel OH 33 up to MI from time to time??? Russells Point is on Indian Lake, I am sure you pass right by here, we live just a few blocks off of 33! If you are headed up this way, let me know!
