Merry Meet, Everyone! what a couple of weeks this has been! I was very, very depressed when I got my latest denial letter back in December. I turned it all over to a higher power on Winter Solstice! I had just about given up hope. then last week, in the midst of a horrid ice storm that left Logan County, Oh with no power (back on just tuesday), no internet/cable tv (just on about an hour ago) and still no land line phone... (Thank the Lord & Lady for Cell phones) I picked up the mail... a letter from Aetna!!! YESSSSSSSSSSSS denial overturned! They Approved My Surgery! I hustled to give Dr Curry's office a call on my cell phone... everything is really rolling... I meet with the dietician on Tuesday, pre-op testing on the 28th and surgery on Feb 4!!!! WOO HOOO !!! things are happening SOOOOOO fast!! I am now in that "Nesting" mode... cleaning and getting stuff all in order around the house... and will most likely have tons of questions bubbling out of me in the next few weeks... so, all of you out there who have denials pending.. DON'T give up! Blessed Be!!! Happy Happy Deb~~~~

Greetings my friends, Sorry I could not get back to you sooner. The computer went down the night before my surgery. I am two weeks out today and doing good. The weight is just rolling off, I'm down 25 pounds as of this morning. This is unbelievable! Blessings to all, Barbara

So, I'm new here. I've finally decided to take the major step in my life and attempt to get approved for Bariatric surgery, Gastric Bypass specifically. I'm nervous and excited at the same time, but the lovely goddesses led me this way and this is the way I'm going. So hello to everyone and I'm happy to be here. I'm so excited for my future as a thinner and healthier person.
